THEY were sealed up almost 150 years ago to protect their contents from the British Raj. Now the secrets of one of southern India's holiest temples are to be revealed at last. Six ancient vaults beneath the 16th-century Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram, the ancient capital of Kerala, are being opened this week after an order from the Indian Supreme Court.
